Best Deck & Railing Contractors in United States
Ben was very responsive and easy to communicate with, always following through. The railing came out beautiful! Very professional workmanship!

I could not be more pleased with my beautiful stair case. Each phase of the project was done professionally and great communication. The picture first do the steps justice. If you are ready this, just call them now. They won't let you down.

We want others to know how pleased we are with the service and product Hernandez Ironworks delivered. They listened to us as to how we wanted to make the gates express our taste and then they perfectly executed the requested changes. The quality of their gate construction far surpassed our expectations.
We highly recommend Hernandez Ironworks to all who are considering custom ironwork.

Had an old plaster pool that was in need of some TLC reached out to multiple companies to figure out timelines and costs. Pool Remodeling Brothers came through, they were competitively priced and there timeline from start to finish was just under 2 weeks. The final product looks amazing, can't wait to enjoy it this summer! Will definitely be calling when I'm ready to redo the pool deck.

Dave and him team did an excellent job on our view deck. We had old worn out pebble tech and they power washed, sealed and overlayed a beautiful new pebble tech color that now makes our deck look awesome. Highly recommend Dave and his company. They are courteous, neat and go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with their work.

Checked the roof and it looks good. The seams around the vents look very watertight. The shingles looks like it's held down tight. They also do wood work. They removed my old, unused swamp cooler and put in an additional wind turbine. They're registered with the state of AZ. They're certified GAF shingles installers if you decide to get GAF shingles. They also finished within 2 days.

Aztec Decks did not come back and finish the work as promised.
They do great work but do not come back to finish the forgotten odds and ends.
The walkway from my gate to the patio looks wonderful but it is crooked. Rather than make Ray and his crew take it up and redo it; we agreed that he would come back and take up my old walk (and replace with same stones) from the gate out to the driveway. It has been almost a year and I still have a crooked walkway and no replaced walkway from the gate to the driveway.

I found Joel Brust through his IG page, brust_carpentry. A friend who hired Joel's company to install fencing in her yard referred me to him. I rarely post Yelp reviews, but the professionalism, craftsmanship, reliability, and demeanor Brust Carpentry brings to the job site, was too outstanding to not login and write him a review. I had completely rotted out front gate posts, old rusty hardware, and a malfunctioning gate that would drag on the concrete pathway when opened. He was 5 minutes early to the job. Removed/demo's the existing old gate. Went the extra mile with cleaning out all rot and applying concrete along with the pressure treated/ground contact 4x4 posts that he brought for the job. Not to mention him and his employee, Collin were of the utmost integrity a homeowner could ask for. They built a custom gate to match the existing framing and pickets to the rest of the fence, and it looks amazing. It's unbelievable how sturdy and diligent the completed work is. And there was not a single piece of scrap wood left behind. Don't shop anywhere else, these guys are gems.

From the initial quote to the completion of the job, Adam and his team were amazing. My deck had several areas where boards needed to be replaced. Other contractors told me they would need to tear off the entire deck because repairs areas never look good once it is finished. Boy were they wrong. The deck and stair case they repaired and refinshed looks beautiful. I am completely delighted!

I called them to restore the Cool Deck around the pool, and two stamped concrete patios. They did an excellent job and the price was very competitive. I highly recommend them!

Simply, the best I've worked with. Brings great attitude and energy, he also considers you as a client foremost. I couldn't get anyone to work on my exterior door without having to buy a whole new door, because other guys don't have the skill or the willingness to do the actual carpentry work. Jason is fantastic, it was energizing to me to see a master craftsman at work, I can't rate him highly enough.

It's unfair and disrespectful Not to provide a quote to the customer when you have promised. The person came to my home, checked my problem and said that he would let me know how much it would cost. More than a week past, no response! I called the company- the person said that he was still working on getting this quote!
What the hell, I said to myself! I said ok, I will wait. It's been over 1 month, still nothing. Of course, I am not waiting for a call anymore. He could have been honest right from the beginning so that at least I am not going to rely on this company. I explained my problem well over the phone even before he came to my house.
Be Honest and Transparent from the beginning! Do not hide! If you would not be happy with the money you would make or whatever the reason is, just say it.
Disgraceful

Probably the most ridiculous hard sales pitch I've seen in a while - and I'm in sales!
So we schedule an appointment for a measurement of the main door and three side doors. When the day arrives, 2-3 weeks later, sales rep asks which doors we are considering. I show him the front door and the rear patio doors. He comments that the patio doors are standard and would need to measure the oversized front door (which is what I thought he was there to do anyway). I say ok, let me know if you need anything. My wife then mentions that she needs to get on a work conference call and retreats to the home office.
Rep then asks me which door option we want. I tell him that once he measures and gives us options then we will select which doors. He then mentions that he only measures when you're ready to buy. Wearily, I look at him and tell him that we wouldn't be wasting our time having him in our home during the workday if we weren't ready to buy. Does he need to see my bank statement or anything??
He then starts to give me his iPad to select the doors from a selection of 18 pages. I don't touch other people's dirty iPads (and that has been so way before Covid), so I decline and ask that the send us the link to review and we will select the doors. Again, he is adamant that we select the doors and that he can't measure unless we do.
I tell him that it would had been wise if we had known that before the appointment and if we were sent the link of the 18 pages we had to choose from. Additionally, there was no way I would make a selection without my wife's input. I then led him to the door and wave goodbye (and he could wave goodbye to my money and his commission).
How absurd!

4 Stars for work
1 Star for reliability
Geremy installed floating wood shelves in the kitchen and did a good job. They're sturdy and look good, but could have been finished better in the end. Putty was left to dry and I had to have my handyman sand it all down as well as add more where there were some noticeable gaps at joints. I didn't ask Geremy come back to finish because it wasn't the end of the world to have to have someone else finish, it just would have been nice if he had completed the job himself. There was also an incident where he accidentally leaned against the stove knobs, turned on the burner and melted plastic on my brand new stove top that had never been used. It wasn't able to be cleaned up complete which is a bummer, but the worst part is he didn't tell me about it- I had to hear from my handman.
I hired him for a second job- a pergola over my back patio. After he rescheduled a couple of times and then didn't show up another one or two times, he finally came, but came so late in the day that he ran out of time and couldn't install my string lights. I went ahead and paid him the full amount for the job but I've never been able to get him to come back to finish the lights that he said he'd be back to hang the following day. After a lot of excuses, several texts and a phone call and continuing to tell me he'd come back to hang them, he still hasn't finished the job. I've been waiting since May 20th and now he isn't responding to my messages at all.
It's a shame because his work is good, but reliability and communication are terrible.

This company's customer service has gone so far in the tank since 2010, when I purchased my first 3 doors from them. Just ordered another one several months ago for a new home in NW Valley. Moving forward to current, had to contact 1st Impression again for several things not working with the door. They had to initially schedule me 2+ weeks out, as they are short of technicians. Ok, so I wait. Got a call the day before this scheduled appt, to tell me that the tech assigned to me, won't be coming as family emergency, they would need tore- schedule me for another time, again 2 weeks out. So, here we go again.....Wait for my turn again, and guess what?!! Got another call, and same excuse from 1st Impression staff. Family emergency, won't be coming.
Get the scoop! I sure would NOT recommend you waste your time ordering from this company, as their customer service is dreadfully slow, and they could care less about customer service. All they are interested in, is taking orders, getting your money, and to heck with timely repairs, should you need a technician. Too, I found several of their inside staff quite RUDE to work with, and very unprofessional. I went as far as requesting to speak with the Owner of company (Tim), and Melissa (the Scheduler) would only tell me that I could speak with one of the two managers. This company will NEVER get one more penny EVER from me. There are other reputable, like companies, should I ever need an additional security door, I will take my hard earned dollars and spend them elsewhere!

I bought a door five years ago and with all the current rain it leaks every where. I have to put down two large towels to keep the inside of house dry. Paint has discolored over the five years. I would not recommend this company.
